Your 16-year-old daughter falls for a divorcee 36 and wants him to move in
Would you let him?
When Alison Garcia, 16, announced that she was leaving home to be with her 36-year-old lover, her parents could have been forgiven for hitting the roof.
Instead, Sheila and Paul Garcia did something most other parents would find unthinkable.
Last month, they invited divorced double-glazing fitter and father-of-one Craig Wright into their home, where he now shares a bedroom with their daughter.
I don’t know about you, but I’m not just thinking No — I’m thinking HELL NO!
I’m looking at myself at the age of 40 and while 40 may be the new 20, that doesn’t mean I’m going to race right out and hook up with a 20 year old.
I personally don’t feel that a 16-year-old is mature enough to be making this type of life altering decision and I certainly don’t think a 36-year-old can possibly be in their right frame of mine to want to move in with a teenager and her parents.
If you were the parent in this position, what would you do?

That is absolutely disgusting. It turns my stomach! How could parents think this was ok? If they’re afraid of her running away with this guy, it’s called calling the police to bring her back home, since she’s a minor. Ugh.

Oh this is an easy one, my first phone call would be to the police. This is too young for someone of that age, ikk, it’s like she’s dating her dad. How can her parents allow it. This is like pimping your kid in a way.

Oh my goodness! This is so sick!!! What the heck does a 36 year old want with a 16 year old? Well, I guess I don’t have to answer that one!!! I’d be calling the police, ASAP and reporting the sicko.

No, definitely not a prude. That’s common sense. I don’t know anyone who would let their 16 yo date a 36 yo.

i did some research on this, and it seems the family lives in Northfleet, England. The rules for minors in England are as follows:
In England, Scotland and Wales, the age of consent – the age at which the law says you can agree to have sex – is 16 for both heterosexual (straight) and homosexual (gay) sex. In Northern Ireland, both people have to be over 17. At any age, and wherever you live in the UK, it is illegal to have sex unless both people agree to it (give their consent).
So i guess it’s legal for a 16-year-old to have sex there. (The drinking age in England is also 18.)
Still though, gross!

Haha why would anyone even have to ask what should you do!? Are you insane. You are letting your underage 16 year old daughter sleep with a man more than twice her age!? I don’t care if its legal or not. If I’m the dad I’m kicking the shit out of this guy!

I’m with Billy on this one. I’d be chasing his ass up the street with a baseball bat.
Then, even if daughter DOES leave home, Sicko guy is afraid enough not to pursue her.
