Time Outs in the Great Outdoors
OK, spring has spring in the Northern Hemisphere, and trips to the park can present a challenge for maintaining discipline. So, I thought it was time to ask: What Would Supernanny Do?
In the April 3rd episode, Jo reminded us that a “naughty spot” can be just as effective outdoors as in. In the episode, the Harmony family were playing in their spacious yard, and the “naughty spot” was a corner of the front sidewalk slightly removed from the fun.
What do you think? What’s been your experience? Does it still work at the park? On a walk? At a vacation spot, like the beach or an amusement park? If you’ve tried it, how have others reacted? How have you handled the reaction?
