Thoughts on Britney Spears Losing Custody
I’ve been tracking Britney Spears for some time now. Mostly because, as a mother, I gasp in disbelief at most of what she does.
I can’t say that I blame any judge for taking custody away from her. If what I’m hearing is true.
Why would a mother risk her children and drive without a drivers license? It’s not like she can’t afford a private driver. That in itself tells me she is more about what she wants and needs than the children.
Those children need stability! Period!
While I don’t think Britney is the one to give it to the children, I certainly don’t think K-Fed is an appropriate parenting figure either. Let’s just hope he uses Britney’s money to hire a decent caregiver for those children that will love and nurture them as they should be.
What a horrible mess those poor children were brought in to.
The ultimate concern here is those two precious little boys!

I agree. I don’t think they’re any better off with K-Fed either. If I remember correctly, I read that she has a driver’s license. It’s just a Louisiana driver’s license, not a California one.

I dont think brittany should have her children she never has been a good mom. and plus she was never good rolemodel for other kids

I FEEL SO BAD FOR BRITNEY BECAUSE I KNOW SHE LOVES HER KIDS BUT SHE NEEDS HELP. EVERYONE IS PUTTIN THIS GIRL UNDER A MICROSCOPE AND IM AFRAID THAT BECAUSE PEOPLE RATHER CRITICIZE HER THAN SYMPATHIZE THIS WILL BE VERY DESTRUCTIVE.IM JUST AFRAID THAT ONE DAY SHE WILL SAY “WHAT DO I HAVE TO LIVE FOR? I wish she would get some help somewhere. It’s such a painful situation to watch - and there is no avoiding it. News of her situation is everywhere!

All mothers deserve the chance to mother their children. Let’s put aside her popularity for one moment. You cannot be harder on her simply because she is a public figure. What if she were your next door neighbor? Or bestfriend? My point is people are on her case more because of her fame. And this is not the first time in history a mother has done some of the things she has. It’s just worse for her.
Just because I said what I just said does not mean I support what she has done. As a pregnant soon-to-be mother it is heartwrenching some of the stupid mistakes she has made. I also read about people who leave their children in their cars and that is even more sickening.
Do I think she deserves to lose her children? Maybe temporarily. At least she has the money to support them. I think she needs help. I think she doesn’t even SEE she needs help because she never knows who to trust so she keeps making the same mistakes. I cannot blame her with her track record.
I pity her. I pity her not having a proper role model or having the needed self respect to be a good mother. It’s ashame because honestly I do not think K-fed would make a good father either.
One day she will look back on this and it will break her heart. If you were a mother and you lost your children that is like losing a piece of your soul no matter what kind of brave face you may put on. No matter how crappy your parenting skills.
All you can do is hope for her children’s sake that their lifestyles will improve. But do not expect her to change her style. It will never happen. People do not do that, they change for themselves not for the masses. She may always dress like a 2 dollar whore but maybe she can be a good mother.

Great comments Anon. If she had been my next door neighbor she probably wouldn’t have lost her children, at least not for a while. I was out at a restaurant last night with my kids and I heard a mother yelling and cussing at her kids. If she’s doing that in public, I can only imagine what she’s doing at home. Sadly, as a teacher, I know there is a lot of stuff that goes on behind closed doors.

I’m sure it’s tough being a teacher and seeing many of these cases and not being able to do anything about it.
I think it’s great that an example is being made and with someone like Britney. I feel sorry for her, but at the same time, she’s been a focus of emulation for kids for a long time. Perhaps by them seeing what can happen to a star with money, will set an example to encourage change.
One can only hope.
