Mother’s Day Bouquet Winner!
Everyone had such wonderful ideas for Mother’s Day gifts, that it was hard to pick just one. I did end up incorporating a few into my Mother’s Day plan. First, I ordered the traditional Mother’s Day bouquet from my kids, to be delivered at work tomorrow. I have it delivered to her job, because it gives her some bragging rights when all the other ladies pass by her desk. Tonight, my sisters and I will be taking her out to a nice dinner. It is not too often that all four of us girls get together without the kids. It is nice to just sit, chat and reminisce. I am taking her to the nursery, after dinner, to pick out a hydrangea bush. She really liked that idea! I’m also working on the photo magnets, which will have to be a little late, since the local craft store did not have any of that magnetic sheet material. The kids will also be making her homemade cards to display on her work desk. Last year, Marlie made her a horse out of shoe boxes, paper towel rolls and curling ribbon. It was so creative and adorable!
Okay, I’m rambling and I’m sure you are all anxious to know who won the fabulous flowers from Proflowers. I had my mom select one of the comments, at random. Since she loved them all as much as I did, she did not feel right about choosing her favorite. Robin’s comment about her mother with Alzheimer’s and the digital photo frame, was the winning comment. Congratulations, Robin! Thank you, everyone, for your inspiring ideas. I wish you all a wonderful Mother’s Day with the ones you love!
