I Wonder What Super Nanny Would Say About…
I used to be one of those parents that hated seeing these harness‘ leashes on kids. Until I had twins!
Being a single parent and having twins toddling around can have it’s moments, that’s for sure. There was one time (yes, ONE time) that I got brave enough to take the kids to the mall to see Santa by myself. There was the cutest little train ride they rode a few times after they’d given Santa their list of toys. Once the train ride was over, it was as if every ability I had to move had stopped - while those of the twins sped up. In an instant, I had two little boys racing in two different directions.
I immediately tried to assess the problem to see which one I should run after first. Apparently the look on my face was enough to prompt the man running the train ride to help me. He shut down the ride and said, “I’ll get this one” while pointing in the direction of one of the boys.
At that precise moment, I realized just how much these gadgets are worth. Not long after my twins mini marathon, I purchased two of these harnesses.
Of course it was a brilliant idea UNTIL they learned that if they cross and walk around behind mom, they could create a whole different kind of problem.
So certainly for one child, I think the Baby Buddies Deluxe Harness is a great idea and worth the purchase and perhaps if you can figure out a way to keep the little ones in front of you at all times, it’s worth considering for two children.
I’ve always wondered how many people thought I was being cruel or on the brink of insanity - keeping my kids on a leash - And now, with experts like The Super Nanny, Jo Frost - I have to wonder what Super Nanny would think - had she seen me leading my kids around like they were puppies.
Since Super Nanny isn’t likely to give me her opinion, how about you pretend to be Super Nanny and tell me what you think about parents using the child harness.

I think SuperNanny would give you two thumbs up! You were taking control of an otherwise difficult situation. You were being proactive and keeping your children under control and out of harms way. Approval here.

I have one of these for my 2 year old, Miss N, and it is a lifesaver!! I love it!

Gayla,
I think you did great using this. I use one similar that I got at Walmart that has a plushy doggy on the back part! My 2 year old loves it and asks to put it on.
We had a scary situation and lost her in a museum, after that I really try to keep her on the leash for her own protection and my sanity.
